ABOUT


YOGA - Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India.

The word ‘yoga’ derives from the Sanskrit language and means to join or to unite, symbolising the union of body and consciousness.

I offer holistic yoga practices that include:

  • stretching,

  • asanas (physical postures),

  • pranayama (techniques focusing on the life force energy),

  • meditation,

  • relaxation,

  • and mantra chanting.

SOUND - The Power of Sound has been used for thousands of years in all cultures around the world.

 ​

Sound Healing is the therapeutic use of sound and music for healing and inner transformation.


Everything is vibrating. So everything has a sound! This includes our body, mind, energy, thoughts, objects etc.


Sound is also purposefully used in every day life such as parties, celebrations, sports events, shops, lifts, radio - it is clear that sound and music alters our state of being in some way!


I use predominantly the voice, tuning forks, and mantra as a natural way to treat pain, illness, conditions; and as a means to 'yoga', uniting individual consciousness with universal consciousness.

MANTRA MEDITATION - This is the Sahaj Yoga path of Chanting the universal Mahamantra "Hari Aum Tat Sat Jai Guru Datta" and Sitting in Silence. I chanted the Mantra as an experiment and soon experienced some permanent changes in how life, reality, existence was known.

PRIYA - I have learnt, experimented with, & practised Yoga, Sound & Meditation since 2001. I offer my sessions with the intention that others too experience the gifts of yoga, sound & the beautiful mantra for Self Realisation.

These sessions can take place In Person or as Distant Sound Healing Sessions. Both are equally effective.

My Bespoke Group Sessions vary and may incorporate any of the following: yoga movements, breathing techniques, sound making, relaxation, meditation, and laughter, as part of a holistic technique.

Examples of sessions: for Senior Management Teams, Away Days, Wellbeing Days, Corporate Staff Classes, Community Groups.

Yog is a complete philosophy of life based on scientific principle and can be used efficiently for Self Healing and Self Realisation. It can be used as prevention, secondary prevention and acute management.

Its main purpose and result is realising one's true nature of unbounded awareness.

MANTRA

"HARI AUM TAT SAT JAI GURU DATTA"

"DEEP WITHIN US IS A SINGLE, PURE CONSCIOUSNESS THAT IS OMNIPRESENT, PREVAILING EVERYWHERE” – HH MAHARSHI PUNITACHARIJI

The mantra HARI AUM TAT SAT JAI GURU DATTA carries the energy of the Universe within it. When it is chanted, the potent energy transfers directly into the individual, setting about a transformation to the body, mind and spirit.

In India this energy transfer is known as "Shaktipat".

The purpose of the mantra is to empower the individual, and to enable them to experience their true nature. 

It offers permanent peace and natural Effortless Awakening; so that one can know themselves as Unbounded Awareness, Unconditional Love.

This path of chanting the mantra and sitting in silence can bring physical health & mental health, clarity, wisdom, full heart, everpresent peace, & happiness.

This mantra is for anyone. It can be passed on by anyone. It is a gift for all of humanity. 

To use the mantra, follow these guidelines:

  • Practice the mantra regularly, ideally once a day.

  • Practice the mantra on your own or with a group of people.

  • Say the mantra out aloud, or silently in your mind.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Sit on the floor, or on a chair, with your back straight & relaxed body.

  • Chant the mantra for 5-7 minutes.

  • Sit in silence with eyes closed (observe the breath or gently focus in between the eyebrows) for 15-18 minutes.

  • Increase this duration when comfortable.


Having carried out decades of tapas (intense spiritual practice in a cave), H. H. Maharishi Punitachariji experienced a divine manifestation of Lord Dattatreya, (Formless Lord of Pure Energy) who blessed him with this potent mantra and its corresponding Sahaja Dhyana path - The Yoga of Spontaneous Meditation.

It comes with the promise that anyone who chants the mantra and sits in slience will experience benefit in their life in a way that is personally required for them; and that all seekers will be guided on the path of peace & happiness, and on the attainment of Enlightenment.
