About

Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India.

 

The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.

 

I offer holistic yoga practices that include asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, and mantra chanting.

Sound Healing is the therapeutic use of sound and music for healing.

 

The power of Sound has been used for thousands of years in all cultures around the world.

​

I use sound - predominantly the voice, tuning forks, and mantra as a natural way to treat pain, illness, conditions; and as a means to 'yoga'.

MANTRA
Prostrations to the Maha Mantra: "Hari Aum Tat Sat Jai Guru Datta"

The mantra HARI AUM TATSAT JAI GURU DATTA carries the energy of the Universe within it, spontaneously bringing harmony to the body, mind and spirit.

This mantra is for anyone and everyone, and it can be passed on by anyone. It is a gift for all of humanity.

The purpose of the mantra is to empower the individual, and to enable them to see the Truth, the Truth which is within everyone.

​

To use the mantra, follow these guidelines:

  • For maximum benefit, practice the mantra every day.

  • You can practice the mantra on your own, or with a group of people.

  • You can say the mantra out aloud, or silently in your mind.

  • When practising, sit in a quiet room where you will not be disturbed.

  • Sit on the floor, or on a chair, with your back straight.

  • Chant the mantra for 5-7 minutes.

  • After chanting, sit in silence with eyes closed (observe the breath or gently focus in between the eyebrows) for 10-15 minutes.


in 1975, having carried out decades of tapas (intense spiritual practice in a cave), H. H. Maharishi Punitachariji experienced a divine manifestation of Lord Dattatreya, (Formless Lord of Pure Energy) who blessed him with this potent mantra and its corresponding Sahaja Dhyana - The Yoga of Spontaneous Meditation as a gift to all of humanity.

It comes with the promise that anyone who chants the mantra and sits in slience will experience benefit, whatever the race, religion, culture, belief, etc. And that all seekers will be guided on the path of peace & happiness and on the attainment of Enlightenment.
